went to G.'s new apartment last night. college and manning... wow, that will be fun... it was rented to jane and him as a one bedroom... i think it's more of a bachelor. there's only a bedroom an kitchen, no sitting area... i would think that a sitting area would be an important differentiator between a one bedroom vs bachelor. oh well. they only have to live there for one year!

first... Songs to wear pants to...get yer very own song...and some of them are pretty good too.
second...cheap-cheap music..i wish i was a computer geek so i could make a site doing this...at $1/song itunes is more expensive than buying the CD....i like napster's price, but i don't like the music dying when i stop paying napster...what happens if napster goes out of business..do i get a refund?

silly google... didn'they think someone would notice. especially when there are so many geeks out there with nothing to do other than prove the man is an idiot... well, he is a whole bunch of the time any ways.
on another political type note...HHGTTG is playing now...went to see it last night. i think it'll be pretty popular 'cause it's has bunch of good bits taken straight from the radio play, but as soemone who got turned onto HHGTTG by the radio play, it was a bit weird to see the hollywood plot added in and the story changed to suit...at least they left the door open for a sequel!

am working (kinda) diligently at figuring out this investing thing...you know, so i don't have to work for my whole life and i can spend time with meadhbh_9 and the kids...it's been a lot of work to confimr what the folks have been telling me all along....at least i'll know it for myself.
the office was ok today, but i'm feelinga bit worked out. been workig 6 days a week and long hours for a month, maybe more...the old guy is crazy..doesn't seem to understand that changes cost $$ and make headaches..as long as the machine works and is on time, who cares if the motor could have been a bit lower...i care, someone needs to update the damn drawing now to show it...ahh well, things seem to be getting done on time at least.
anyone got experience with an erp implementation...hapless or otherwise...seems the vendor/consultant is unwilling or unable to tell our team what is required to be done to get the thing going!! am looking for a cheatsheet I can provide the team so they will stop dropping bombs at my door....
alright, back to excel and lists of stocks..

here i am again at work late. trying to get caught up from the week, but not having much luck cause i don't really feel like it.
was talking to the bro in houston and my cell battery died, now i'm logged back into my long dormant lj. ah well, tommorow's a lazy day, kicking it in the house and dinner in w-down with reebs, etc.
snowboarding is over for the season :(. just as well i guess, it's cost me a fortune in gear this year, and last weekend was no exception, huge gouge in the base of my 172 prior amf. need to get serious about this do it yourself snowboard manufacturing! |

meadhbh_9 was complaining that I hadn't made an entry since May 29th, so she's typing a message while I dictate to her (lazy bones!)
I tried to make a very large purchase on Friday, but I was denied. Too bad for me.
Steven killed the catnip. Steven is a murderer (planticide).
Current book "Fences & Windows" by Naomi Klein. It's got me thinking I should open a Second Cup 'cuz my hood's full of artist types and protest types who like coffee, the fancy ones, and somehow have the money to pay for them.
Body is tired. Mind is turned off cuz it's the long weekend.

still at work, but i did leave and have a great prime rib at the Railcar (6th Ave & something) with some beautiful red wine. now i'm back to give one of the guys a ride home. they only got about half a push done this shift 'cause they were building the guides for the muck boxes. At least we're using the large muck boxes now.
Back to TO tommorrow morning, bright and early. Yay! then on to the renos. |
